Akira is a Financial Planner, specializing in retirement plans for healthcare professionals within the San Diego and Palm Springs area, but his cross-disciplinary work includes investment management, retirement planning, estate planning strategies, insurance risk management, and education funding planning. By juggling all of these factors as part of a comprehensive financial plan, Akira helps his clients achieve greater clarity for their financial picture, and greater confidence in meeting their financial goals.
Akira attended Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR, where he played four years of baseball, earning team captain and all-conference honors. Upon graduating with a BA in Rhetoric and Media Studies, he began a career working in professional sports. He spent time working with both the Portland Trail Blazers and the San Diego Padres before joining the Shorelight Wealth Group team.
Akira is passionate about being a source of financial guidance that his clients can rely on in times of need and transition. He helps to break down complex financial and investing concepts, and makes them easier to understand and apply to his clients’ lives in order to create a strategy that fits their needs. He works with a wide variety of retirees, young professionals, families, and businesses, and is driven in helping each of them succeed and meet their goals.
Akira is an avid sports fan and travel buff. He enjoys visiting different countries with his wife, Liz, whenever possible.
